Hold to Light

"Hold to Light" pieces start with original photographs of nature printed on rice paper with archival inks. These photographs are then folded into patterns. The hand worked pieces are meant to be displayed in a window, or with light behind them. The light will show the “skeleton” of the folds. As the source light dims, the original image will become more dominant showing the beauty of the
natural image on the front.
